FCP holds homecoming celebration

The Franklin Community Players will be hosting a homecoming celebration Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Lavonia Cultural Center, located at 12221 Augusta Rd, Lavonia.

The celebration will begin promptly at 6 p.m. and run until 8 p.m.

In honor of the people of Franklin County who supported the Community Players’ bid to secure the use of the Lavonia Cultural Center as its home for the upcoming year, the Community Players would like to extend an invitation of appreciation to the community.

The event will feature live local entertainment, refreshments and a peek at what the players have planned for its new season.

FCP President Valicia Miller told WNEG News how grateful the FCP is for the support of the community.

Members of the public are invited to come out and join in the fun.

Because of the community’s efforts in helping secure the cultural center for the players, the group wanted to show off their new home; thus, naming the celebration a homecoming.
