FATAL WRECK INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

 

The investigation into a fatal wreck over the weekend that killed a Toccoa mother and her daughter is still continuing.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the entire incident report is not being released at this time.

However, according to the GSP,  the accident happened about 4:30a Saturday morning on Highway 365 in Habersham County.

Troopers say a 2010 Ford Fusion was travelling southbound on 365 when it crossed the center median into the northbound lane where it collided head-on with a 2010 Chevy Cobalt in the left northbound lane.

The impact killed the driver of the Chevy and a passenger.

They are identified 29-year old Allyson Lauren Franklin of Toccoa who was the driver and her passenger, 65-year old Kathy Franklin of Toccoa.

The driver of the Ford Fusion, a 16-year old male, was air-lifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital with multiple serious injuries and listed in critical condition.

His name has not been released because he is a juvenile.

According to the GSP charges are pending the completion of the follow-up investigation by the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
