Family Connection of Stephens County moves to new location

Family Connection of Stephens County has moved its office into a new location.

In hopes of creating a community resource hub, Family Connection is now housed in the Toccoa-Stephens County Literacy Center, along with the Hope Center’s offices, and North Georgia Technical Colleges Adult GED classes.

The Literacy Center is located at 158 South Broad Street, next to the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Toccoa-Stephens County.

WNEG News recently sat down with Family Connection of Stephens County Executive Director Noel Pauley.

She says the move was part of a larger goal.

Pauley says Family Connection will continue to offer the same familiar services, while, eventually introducing additional ones.

Pauley invites anyone who is seeking information on the many resources that are available to Stephens County residents to reach out to her.

She also encourages community members to come volunteer with many of their programs.

The Mentor Program is one she says desperately needs volunteers.

Pauley adds that through a state grant, Family Connection’s First Steps program will be expanding this year, to serve 325 moms in the community.

First Steps will also be expanded to include a moms’ support group.

Lastly, Family Connection of Stephens County is always in need of donations.
