Family Connection now taking votes for favorite Scarecrow in Scarecrow Walk

Family Connection’s Scarecrow Walk is ongoing in downtown Toccoa.

According to Family Connection Executive Director Noel Pauley, several businesses, churches, organizations, and even individuals have put up scarecrows lining the walkways at the Historic Stephens County Courthouse.

Throughout the month of October families will be able to enjoy these scarecrows and vote on their favorites.

While many fall festivals are being forced to cancel, Pauley says Family Connection decided to host the Scarecrow Walk as an alternative event for families to enjoy in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Pauley says you can go online to pollunit.com/polls/scarecrowwalk to cast your vote.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Several businesses, organizations, and churches are represented including: Ninth District Opportunity, Stephens County Development Authority, The Wright Credit Union, Northeast Georgia Bank, Dr. Katie McKinney, Tom’s Creek Baptist Church, Northeast Georgia Housing Authority, Northeast Georgia Physicians Group—Pediatrics, Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce, Toccoa Elementary School, Stephens County Hospital Radiology Department, Northeast Georgia CASA, Mainstreet Toccoa, The Hope Center, Family Connection, Country Hearth Inn, St. Matthias Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church Preschool, and Bowen and Watson.
