Election News from Stephens County Elections Supervisor Carlisle

Stephens County Elections Supervisor reminds residents who make the decision to run for office that there are legal requirements that must be met during their campaign, including a specific set of regulations anre requirements regarding campaign contributions.

There are fillings that have to be made and reports due, he said.

He said that any contribution over $100 dollars has to be recorded, and individuals can only donate up to $3,300 to a candidate.

Those regulations regarding donations apply even before a candidate can officially qualify for a race, Carlisle said.

WNEG News will continue our election coverage next Monday with more from our interview with Carlisle about qualifying fees, election schedules, absentee ballots and poll workers.
