Elbert Ends Indians Winning Streak at 3

The Elbert County Blue Devils beat the Stephens County Indians Monday evening 8 to 4 at the Reservation.

The Indians managed just six hits, four of those in the seventh inning.

The Blue Devils picked up two runs in the top of the first inning, and then scored two runs without a hit in the fourth. The Blue Devils plated three runs on one hit and a couple of errors in the sixth inning and charted another run in the top of the seventh.

Ben Stowe homered in the fourth inning for the Indians first run. Stephens County then scored three runs in the final stanza.

Grant Babbitt took the loss for the Indians while Brant Brady got the win for the Blue Devils.

Elbert County is now 10-1 on the young season while the Indians fell to 6-2.

This afternoon, the Indians will host Jackson County, a game originally set for Wednesday.
