Early voting continues in Toccoa-Stephens County

Citizens have been casting early ballots this week in Toccoa-Stephens County for the Presidential Preference Primary.

The early voting period will continue, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, until Friday, March 20.

Stephens County Registrar Eureka Gober reminds citizens that on Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. the Registrar’s Office will be open for citizens who are unable to attend during the week to cast an early ballot.

She says advance voting will help eliminate long lines on election day.

Also, Gober says anyone wishing to request an application for an absentee ballot can still do so by calling her office at 706-886-8954.

All absentee ballots are due back at the Registrar’s Office no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.

Gober reminds residents that all early voting takes place at the Registrar’s Office, located inside the Historic Stephens County Courthouse.

All election day voting, Tuesday, March 24, will take place at the Senior Center located on Roselane.

For questions regarding the advance voting period or to request an absentee ballot contact Gober by calling 706-886-8954.
