DPH Reports Two More Covid-Related Deaths in Stephens

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting two more Covid-related deaths in Stephens County bringing the total to 62 with now surpassing 2500 residents that have tested positive for the virus bringing that total to 2503.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon.

The latest report has Habersham County with one more death bringing that total to 105 and now 4,141 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has 25 deaths and now 1,975 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,262 cases and 26 deaths, Hart County is reporting 1,435 cases and 24 deaths, and Banks County is now reporting 23 deaths and 1,368 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been a total of  689, 676 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those, 47,006 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 11,265, 170 more deaths since the report on Monday.
