DPH reports slight increase in number of positive COVID-19 cases in Stephens County

The latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health  has Stephens County with 1,142 positive cases of the virus since the beginning of the global pandemic, and 38 deaths related to the virus.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon.

DPH is reporting Habersham County with 71 deaths, and now 1,741 total positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is now reporting 11 deaths and 378 cases, Hart County has had 13 deaths and now 529 cases, Banks County is reporting 8 deaths and 505 cases, and Franklin County with 780 total positive cases and 14 deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 324,650 cases, of those, 29,154 have been hospitalized and 7,229 have died from complications of the virus.
