DPH Reports Deaths in Stephens and Franklin

The Georgia Department of Public Health is now reporting an additional death in Stephens County and in Franklin County due to complications of Covid-19.

In Stephens County, the total death count is now 46 since the beginning of the global pandemic, and DPH now reports a total of 1,680 confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in the county.

In Franklin County, the total death count is now 20, and now 1,271 confirmed positive cases of the virus.

The latest report was released Wednesday afternoon.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 82 deaths and now a total of 2,605 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is still reporting 12 deaths and now 688 cases, Hart County is still reporting 20 deaths and now 825 cases, and Banks County is still reporting 12 deaths, and now 869 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health,  positive cases continue to rise to around 4,000 per day this week for a total now of 456,113 since the beginning of the virus. Of those with positive cases, 36,740 have been hospitalized, and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 9,073.
