DPH reports another death in Stephens County from COVID-19

The latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health  has Stephens County with 1,159 positive cases of the virus since the beginning of the global pandemic, and 39 deaths related to the virus.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

DPH is reporting Habersham County with 71 deaths, and now 1,758 total positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is now reporting 11 deaths and 384 cases, Hart County has had 13 deaths and now 535 cases, Banks County is reporting 8 deaths and 514 cases, and Franklin County with 789 total positive cases and 14 deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 327,407 cases, of those, 29,386 have been hospitalized and 7,294 have died from complications of the virus.
