DPH Reports Another Covid Related Death in Stephens

The Georgia Department of Public Health is now reporting another death in Stephens County now bring the total to 65 COVID-related deaths with 2,698 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Monday afternoon.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 118 deaths and now 4,342 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has had 29 deaths and 2,118 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,352 cases and still 31 deaths, Hart County is reporting 1,539 cases and still 31 deaths, and Banks County is now reporting 28 deaths and 1,446 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, the rate of positive cases went down and there have been a total of 752,448 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those, 50,323 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 12,613.
