DPH Reports Another Covid-19 Related Death in Stephens

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting another death in Stephens County due to complications from Covid-19 bringing the total to 48 for the county, and 35 more confirmed positive cases of the virus since Wednesday bringing that total to 1,871 since the beginning of the virus.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 82 deaths, and now 2,952 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 1,404 positive cases of the virus and 21 deaths, Rabun County is now reporting 15 deaths, one more than on Wednesday, and now 818 cases, Hart County is still reporting 20 deaths and now 926 cases, and Banks County is now reporting 16 deaths, two more than Wednesday, and now 980 cases.

 

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were almost 6,000 more positive cases of the virus across the state since Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 494,173, and of those, 300 more were hospitalized bringing the overall total to 38,718.  The total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 9,358.
