DPH reports 9 new cases of COVID-19 in Stephens County

The latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health  has Stephens County with 1,151 positive cases of the virus since the beginning of the global pandemic, and 38 deaths related to the virus.

The latest report was released Wednesday afternoon.

DPH is reporting Habersham County with 71 deaths, and now 1,752 total positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is now reporting 11 deaths and 383 cases, Hart County has had 13 deaths and now 534 cases, Banks County is reporting 8 deaths and 509 cases, and Franklin County with 783 total positive cases and 14 deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 326,142 cases, of those, 29,308 have been hospitalized and 7,259 have died from complications of the virus.
