DPH Reports 6th Death in Last Three Days in Stephens

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting another Covid-19 related death, the 6th death in the last three days in Stephens County, bringing the total to 58 and 2,450 have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.

The latest report was released Friday afternoon.

The latest report shows still shows Habersham County with 101 deaths and now 4,066 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Hart County is now reporting 24 deaths and now 1,395 cases, Rabun County is reporting 26 deaths and now 1,230 cases, Banks County is still at 22 deaths and now 1,323 cases, and Franklin County is still reporting 25 deaths and now 1,924 positive cases.

The number of positive tests across the state of Georgia continue to climb at an alarming rate with over 7,000 cases since Thursday bringing that total to 668,068, of those, 315 more were hospitalized bringing that total to 46,208, and 157 more deaths since Thursday due to complications of the virus bringing the total to 10,878.
