DPH Reports 4th Death in Stephens County Due to Covid-19

The Georgia Department of Public Health is now reporting 4 deaths in Stephens County due to complications from COVID-19.

DPH is reporting that an 84 year old female died due to complications of the virus.

Thursday afternoon the DPH website reported 148 positive cases in Stephens County and the 4 deaths.

The site also reported two more deaths in Habersham County bringing the total to 28. Habersham County is now listed with 576 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is now reporting 2 deaths and 30 cases, Franklin County has 134 cases and one death, Banks County has a total of 103 cases with one death, and Hart County has 39 cases.

Stephens County Hospital is reporting 1,196 tests have been completed with 132 positive results, 1,009 negative, and 55 pending.

104 patients that have been treated for Covid-19 at Stephens County Hospital or Stephens County Hospital Physicians Group Clinics are now fully recovered. They currently have one patient hospitalized with a confirmed positive test, and 4 others awaiting results.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 54,973 cases, of those, 9,073 have been hospitalized and 2,375 have died from complications of the virus.
