Locally, Stephens County Hospital continues to treat nine individuals for the virus.

Hester tells WNEG News that 24 Stephens County residents have tested positive for the virus, and there are now multiple providers testing in Stephens County.

He says quote “We’re most appreciative to have other healthcare providers who are testing in Stephens County, but the amount of information we’re able to give regarding testing we are not doing on our own, is limited,” end quote.

Hester says the hospital has received many results Monday, on patients who were tested over the weekend, all of which were negative.

He adds that the hospital is unfortunately anticipating more cases in the community that are positive.
