DPH reports 17th COVID-19 related death in Stephens County

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting the 17th death in Stephens County due to complications of Covid-19.

DPH is now reporting a total of 696 positive cases of Covid-19 in Stephens County.

This marks an increase of 20 positive Covid-19 cases in Stephens County since Friday.

The latest report was released Sunday afternoon.

DPH is now reporting 52 deaths in Habersham County and a total of 1,212positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties,  Hart County has had 350 cases and now eight deaths, Franklin County has had 456 cases and six deaths, Banks County has a total of 301 cases and six deaths, and Rabun County has a total of 234 cases and three deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 237,030 cases, of those, 22,087 have been hospitalized and 4,702 have died from complications of the virus.
