DPH Reporting Another Covid-19 Related Death in Stephens

The Georgia Department of Public Health is now reporting another death in Stephens County due to complications of Covid-19 bringing the total to 43 since the beginning of the global pandemic.

DPH is now reporting a total of 1307 positive cases in Stephens County since the beginning of the virus.

The latest report was released Wednesday afternoon.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 78 deaths, and now 1,922 total positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Hart County is still reporting 17 deaths and now 606 cases, Franklin County has had a total of 18 deaths and now 980 positive cases,  Rabun County is still  reporting 11 deaths and now 442 cases, and Banks County is still reporting 8 deaths, but now 587 cases.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 366,452 cases, of those, 32,042 have been hospitalized and 8,072 have died from complications of the virus.
