DPH announces changes to health department’s COVID vaccine schedule
The Department of Public Health has announced changes to health department’s COVID-19 Vaccine Schedule.
According to Public Information Officer Dave Palmer, the change will allow county health departments to continue vaccinations and expand hours for other health department services.
In Stephens County, Stephens County Health Department will continue to administer vaccines at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, located at 995 East Tugalo Street; however, beginning on May 3, vaccination will only be available on Tuesday and Thursday.
Walk-ins will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the clinic will close for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
In Habersham County, the DPH will continue to use the Ruby Fulbright Center, located at 120 Paul Franklin Road, in Clarkesville, through May 7; however, beginning on May 3, the clinic will operate only on Monday and Thursday. Then, on May 10, the clinic will move back to the Health Department located at 185 Scoggins Drive, in Demorest.
After the move to the health department, the clinic will operate on Wednesday only.
Walk-ins will be accepted from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The clinic will close for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
For Franklin County, its clinic will remain at the Franklin County Recreation Center, 557 Rocky Ford Rd., Carnesville. Beginning May 3, the clinic will only operate on Monday and Tuesday. Walk-ins will be accepted from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The clinic will close for lunch from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
For Hart County, its clinic will remain at Flat Shoals Church, located at 2999 Bowersville Hwy, in Bowersville. Beginning on May 3, the clinic will operate only on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Walk-ins will be accepted from 10 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday and on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. The clinic will close for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m. On Friday, the clinic will close at 12 p.m.
