Doyle Street Pool will reopen this weekend

The Doyle Street Pool/Camp Fire Georgia will reopen on Sunday.

According to Camp Fire Camp Toccoa Director Mary McSherry, the pool will resume operations at a limited capacity on Sunday, July 26.

She notes that while reservations are not required, patrons are encouraged to reserve a time to use the facility.

Additionally, McSherry says the Doyle Street Pool will not hosts the Sensory Sensitive Swim or Swim-a-Palooza the week of July 27 through the 31st.

The pool is open Sunday through Thursday from 12 noon until 6 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Admission is $3 per person, cash only, including all ages and those not swimming.

The Doyle Street Pool was closed earlier this month after an individual, who had been to the pool, tested positive for COVID-19.

Camp Fire Georgia reports that the staff continues to adhere to the recommended CDC guidelines including the wearing of masks, cleaning procedures, appropriate maintenance of water chemistry, and social distancing so as to provide a safe experience for all.
