Dobbs appointed to Board of Education District 2 seat

The Stephens County Board of Education met last week for its work session; during which, the Board appointed Travis Dobbs to serve as the Board Member for District 2.

As WNEG News previously reported, the District 2 seat was left vacant after Bill Wheeler resigned from the Board of Education earlier this year.

According to Board of Education Chairman Jim Bellamy, there were many applicants interested in filling the seat; however, Dobbs impressed the Board with his vast medical knowledge and experience.

A motion was made by Board Member Wendy Dawkins appointing Dobbs to the District 2 Seat with Vice Chair Rod Moore seconding the motion.

The motion was approved unanimously.
