Demorest man arrested for recent Toccoa robbery

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect wanted in connection to a recent Toccoa robbery.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, Joshua James Mull, 28 of Demorest was identified as the suspect who allegedly robbed the Hibachi Grill and Buffet off Big A Road, in Toccoa, on January 13.

Mize says with the help of some citizens, the detectives were able to issue warrants for Mull’s arrest.

On January 31, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office served the warrant and added additional charges to Mull.

Mull was charged with possession of heroin, driving on a suspended license and a probation warrant.

He will be transferred to Stephens County Jail at a later date.

Mize says the Toccoa Police Department want to thank the citizens for their help in the identification and subsequent arrest of Mull.

As WNEG News previously reported, Mull entered the Hibachi Grill and Buffett looking for someone, he then went out with some patrons that were leaving and then watched the clerk.

Security footage showed that when the clerk went into the dining area, Mull reentered and went straight for the cash register where he took the cash out.

The clerk chased him out the door and told officers he left in a white Kia Sorento with an undisclosed amount of money.
