Dec. 15 single-vehicle crash on Prather Bridge Road results in fatality

According to the incident report, yesterday, Dec. 15, at approximately 2 p.m, a 2012 green Honda CRV CTS traveling south on State Route 184/Prather Bridge Road, just past Camp Mikell Road, ran off the right shoulder and traveled 375 feet before striking a tree with its front bumper.

The driver, who has not yet been officially identified, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to Georgia State Patrol’s report, drugs and alcohol are suspected factors in the crash.

The next-of-kin of the driver, only identified by GSP as a 40-year-old male of Toccoa, had not been notified at the time of the report, and WNEG News will not provide identification until the identity is officially released by GSP.
