Deadline to register to vote is May 11

Just a reminder from the Stephens County Elections and Registrations office that if you plan to vote in the June Presidential Preference and General Primaries, now is a good time to make sure you’re registered to vote.

The deadline to register is Monday, May 11th.

If you have not voted in the last two elections, or you have moved and not notified the Elections office, you might not be registered to vote.

Stephens County Registrar Eureka Gober says you can call her office to find out if you are still on the voter rolls, or you can go online to the Secretary of State’s MyVoter page to find your registration status.

The MyVoter page also gives the voter other information such as where their polling place is or how to change their address and how to get absentee ballots.

And if you have moved since the last election, you need to let the elections office know now to make sure you can vote in June.

For additional information regarding the forthcoming election contact Gober by calling 706-886-8954.
