Deadline to drop off gifts for Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program is December 8

The deadline to drop-off gifts for Angels in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program is December 8.

Toccoa Service Center Director Rebecca Dixon says the Salvation Army Angels are ready to be ‘adopted’ for this Christmas Season.

Dixon says more than 200 families signed up this year, which represents almost 500 children, ranging in ages from newborn to 12-years-old.

Adopting an angel from an Angel Tree means that you’ll purchase items on that child’s wish-list.

Dixon says there are several ways you can pick an angel to buy gifts for this Christmas.

Each angel Ornament shows the angel’s name, age, clothes sizes, and wishes.

That could include items such as new clothes, shoes, socks, a jacket, and between one to three Toys.

Walmart and the Beall’s stores in Toccoa and Cornelia have trees on display that you can select an angel to buy for, or you can go online to select an angel either at the Salvation Army of Northeast Georgia website or Walmart.com.

The deadline to bring gifts to the Toccoa Salvation Army Center, located at 306 East Franklin Street, is December 8th.

Dixon said this is an excellent opportunity for individuals and families, to share the excitement of shopping for a child who would otherwise not have much, if anything, for Christmas.

Again, the deadline to drop off gifts for adopted angels is December 8.
