Currahee Club Chef Honored

Donald Sedivy, Executive Chef at the Currahee Club on Lake Hartwell in Toccoa, GA was recently inducted into the American Academy of Chefs or AAC, the honor society of the American Culinary Federation or ACF, and the leading membership organization for chefs and culinary professionals in North America. The AAC recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to both the culinary profession and ACF. Only sixteen chefs from across the Nation and around the World were inducted as AAC Fellows recently, during the Cook. Craft. Create. ACF Annual National Convention & Show.

To become an AAC member, chefs must be nominated by two current AAC members, have a minimum of 15 years of culinary experience and be an ACF-certified chef. Candidates are required to demonstrate their commitment to the culinary profession by serving in leadership positions, supporting professional development of other culinarians and participating in community service activities. Chef Sedivy has now joined over 800 other chefs who already belong to the AAC.

Currahee Club’s President, Andrew Ward, says the Currahee Club is proud that their Chef has been awarded this rare recognition and are thrilled to have him working at Currahee leading the culinary team.
