Covid Numbers Grow in Georgia-Latest SC School Update

The Covid-19 positive numbers keep rising in the state of Georgia.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health is almost 5000 more cases have been reported since Thursday bringing the total to 438,300. That marks over 13,000 cases in the state of Georgia the past three days.  Of those with positive cases, just over 700 have been hospitalized in the last three days bringing that total to 35,783, and 124 more died from complications of the virus bringing that total to 8,922.

The Georgia Department of Public Health is now reporting a total of 1,607 positive cases of Covid-19, and still 45 deaths in Stephens County since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Friday afternoon.

Today’s Stephens County School System Covid-19 Update for the week ending December 4th is as follows:

14 staff members with a positive Covid-19 test.

9 staff members quarantined at home.

95 students quarantined at home.

2 students with a positive Covid-19 test.

3,929 students currently enrolled in-person and virtually.

536 current employees.

Again, these are the current numbers as of December 4, 2020 and is not a running total.
 
The new DPH report shows an additional death in Habersham County.

The latest report now has Habersham County with 82 deaths and a total of 2,452 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is still reporting 12 deaths and now 637 cases, Hart County is still reporting 20 deaths and now 783 cases, Franklin County is still reporting 19 deaths and now 1,233 positive cases,  and Banks County is still reporting 12 deaths, and 811 cases.
