Covid-19 Numbers Remain Low

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 75 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with one less positive case and now a total of 2,926 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

For the second straight day, the numbers reflected very little in positive cases of the virus.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon and only reflected 3 more positive cases of the virus in the six county area and no deaths.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 143 deaths and now 4,585 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 40 deaths and now 2,301 positive cases, Rabun County is still reporting 1,468 cases and 38 deaths, Hart County is still reporting 1,683 cases and 35 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 33 deaths and now 1,595 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were 893 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia bringing the total to 851,306, of those 127 were hospitalized bringing that total to 58,660 and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen 10 more to 16,533.
