Covid-19 Cases Show Statewide Rise Across State

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there have been a total of  552,712 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, an increase of almost 6,000 cases since Monday, of those, 41,403 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus rose by 40 since Monday and now total 9,759.

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 48 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,114 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon.

The latest report now has Habersham County with 87 deaths and now 3,422 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 21 deaths and 1,613 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 990 cases and 17 deaths, Hart County is reporting 1,111 cases and 20 deaths, and Banks County is reporting 18 deaths and 1,109 cases.
