Covid-19 Cases-Huge Increase in Area/State

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 46 deaths in Stephens County and now a total of 1,710 confirmed positive cases of Covid-19, an increase of 30 in the past 24 hours.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

In Franklin County, a death is being reported for the second straight day bringing the total to now 21, and now 1,293 confirmed positive cases of the virus, an increase of 22 in the past 24 hours.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 82 deaths, and 52 more cases for a total of 2,657 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is still reporting 12 deaths and now 725 cases, an increase of 37, Hart County is still reporting 20 deaths and now 837 cases, and Banks County is still reporting 12 deaths, and now 886 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health,  there were over 6,000 positive cases reported in the state in the last 24 hours for a total now of 462,175 since the beginning of the virus. Of those with positive cases, another 277 have been hospitalized for a total now of 37,017, and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 9,123.
