County Commission to Meet This Morning
The Stephens County Commission is holding a regularly scheduled meeting this morning at 8:30 a.m.
On the agenda includes the first public hearing for the property tax increase, work session and regular meeting to follow.
The public hearing on the 1.5 millage increase is a result of the FY 18 budget that was approved at their last meeting. The commission decided to approve the budget as is and make changes as needed throughout the year.
The FY 18 budget includes salary increases for county employees and budget cuts for several programs.
The meeting is in the Stephens County Court house and is open to the public.
