Continued Coverage of Latest Grand Jury Indictments

Continuing our coverage of the most recent indictments handed down by the Grand Jury in Stephens County Superior Court:

James Daniel Taylor was indicted on 12 counts of sexual exploitation of children.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in December 2022, when Taylor allegedly possessed and distributed digital images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Nathan Alan Clay was indicted on two counts child molestation.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred between January 2010 and December 2015 when Clay allegedly committed immoral and indecent acts against a female minor under the age of 16.

Roger Laquerrius Neal was indicted on one count possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with the intent to distribute, one count possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and once count fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in December 2021, when Neal allegedly was in possession of fentaynl with the intent to distribute said narcotic, and refuse to bring his vehicle to a stop when signaled to do so by a law enforcement officer, and fled at speeds in excess of 20 mph above the posted speed limit on Highway 17.

David William Clark was indicted on one count Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count possession of Methamphetamine, and one count possession of a controlled substance by an inmate.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in February 2023 when Clark allegedly was in possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute while an inmate at Stephens County Jail.

Makayla Nicole Pitts was indicted on one count Possession of Methamphetamine, one count possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, one count possession of Cocaine, one count Driving under the influence (less safe, drugs), one count obstruction of an officer, once count speeding, one count possession of marijuana, less than one ounce, and two counts possession of drug related objects.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in February of this year when Pitts allegedly was in possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, and was in possession of morphine and cocaine, and allegedly physically resisted arrest and fled in a vehicle at speeds above the posted speed limit while in possession of marijuana and a glass pipe and metal spoon. 

Jennifer Nicole Johnson was indicted on one count theft by deception, one count theft by conversion and one count exploitation and intimidation of a disabled adult, elder person or resident. 

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in July 2023 when Johnson allegedly took payment of $2,000 from an elderly victim for payment of plumbing services without the intent of providing the services, 

Frank Jacob Moore and Joshua Brent Wilbanks, individually and as parties concerned in the commission of a crime, were indicted on one count theft by taking.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in January 2023 when Moore and Wilbanks allegedly took construction and building materials without the permission of the owner.

Christopher David Labranch was indicted on one count burglary int he first degree and one count possession of methamphetamine.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in May 2020 when Labranch allegedly entered the house without the permission of the owner and with the intent to commit theft, while in possession of less than two grams of methamphetamine.

Christopher Anthony Shelton was indicted on one count burglary in the first degree and one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. 

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in December 2023 when Shelton allegedly entered a business without permission of the owner and with the intent of committing theft, while having within arms reach a handgun.

Trey Nelson Brock was indicted on one count burglary in the second degree. 

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in June 2023 when Brock allegedly entered a building without permission of the owner and with the intent to commit theft.

Hanna Alexia Owens was indicted on one count burglary in the first degree and one count possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance.  

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in February 2021 when Owens allegedly entered a home without permission of the owner and with the intent to commit theft, while in possession of alprazolam.

Briana Renee Riley was indicted on 3 counts fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, one count reckless driving, one count speeding , one count failure to maintain lane, two counts failure to stop at a stop sign ,and one count operating a vehicle without insurance.

According to the indictment, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in October 2022 when Riley allegedly fled a pursuing police vehicle in excess of twenty mph above the posted speed limit and in the wrong lane of travel, reached speeds of 93 mph, failed to stop at posted stop signs, and wrecked into a ditch, all while not having vehicle insurance.
