Clay Page set to headline this weekend’s Ida Cox Concert Series

The 2023 season of the Ida Cox Music Series continues this weekend with country artist Clay Page.

Clay Page is a Nashville, TN recording artist and a Top 40 American Idol contestant from Elberton.

Toccoa Special Event Coordinator Misty Richardson says that there has been a lot of interest from local residents in this week’s headlining artist.

Page and his band will be performing from 8 to 10 p.m. tomorrow, July 8.

Opening act, Klassic Kats, will take the stage at 7 p.m.

The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of rain, the show will be relocated to The Historic Ritz Theatre.

Richardson says the 2023 Series has had record-setting attendance, with everyone enjoying the music and the local businesses that remain open for the event.

She explained that they tried to bring in a wide range of acts this year to appeal to a variety of music tastes.

Upcoming July acts for the 2023 Ida Cox season include The Vintage Vixens on July 15, Better Than Better Than Ezra, with opening act Jim Harper on July 22, Scott Low and The Southern Bouillon with opening act  Klassic Duo on July 29.

In August, artists include Brass Animals on August 5, Randall Bramblett Band with opening act Jimmy Scotton the 12th, The Wobblers, with opening act Rock N Earl on the 19th. The season will close out on August 26 with local favorite Milkshake Mayfield.

The Ida Cox Music Series, named after famed Toccoa Blues musician Ida Cox, features free Music during the summer, from 7 p.m. until approximately 10 p.m. each Saturday night in downtown Toccoa.

Bring a lawn chair or other seating option and enjoy live music, food, and drink in a relaxing atmosphere. Coolers are welcome, but outside alcohol is not allowed, Richardson explained.
