Clarkesville woman sentenced to Life in Prison in Habersham County Superior Court

A Clarkesville woman was sentenced to Life in Prison on Monday in Habersham County’s Superior Court.

According to a press release issued this week, 24-year-old Anslee Danielle Foster was sentenced to Life without the possibility of parole following the September 27, 2019, malice murder of Christopher Eldreth; twenty years to serve on the burglary of Eldreth’s residence in Cornelia, and ten years to serve on a theft by taking of a motor vehicle.

All sentences will be served concurrently.

The Honorable B. Chan Caudell imposed the sentence after hearing evidence and argument from the State and from the Defense.

Foster entered a guilty plea on July 22, 2021, and sentencing was scheduled for Monday, December 6, 2021.

The investigation was conducted by the Cornelia Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Region 8, Cleveland.

The State was represented by Assistant District Attorney Meredith Davis and District Attorney George Christian.
