City Reports Sanitary Sewer Spill

The City of Toccoa is reporting a sanitary sewer spill that occurred Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in a lowland area northeast of Eastanollee Creek around manhole C2.

City of Toccoa crew members discovered the overflow condition at 7:30 A.M. which was caused by heavy rainfall. The sanitary sewer overflow condition ceased around 11:30 AM. The total volume released was estimated at approximately 8,000 gallons. The City of Toccoa reports that all required signage has been posted near the site and city crew members will continue to monitor the spill location for inflow and infiltration.
