City of Toccoa will resume disconnections for past due utility accounts on July 15

Following the recent reopening of City Hall on Monday, city staff have announced they will resume disconnections and penalties for utility accounts that are delinquent beginning on July 15.

According to a press release issued on Monday, city staff will begin to disconnect services based on the most overdue accounts and accounts with the largest outstanding balances.

If you currently have an outstanding balance for Toccoa utilities, you are asked to contact Customer Service to create a custom payment arrangement in order to avoid disconnection for nonpayment.

City Manager Billy Morse tells WNEG News after months of discontinuing its disconnection policy following the COVID-19 pandemic, the city believes it is now time to begin operations as normal.

Again, beginning on July 15, the city of Toccoa will resume its normal operations for disconnecting overdue utility accounts.

The City of Toccoa offers a variety of ways for customers to pay their utility bills including: online bill pay at cityoftoccoa.com, using the drive through window at City Hall, and by mailing payments to City Hall at 92 North Alexander Street.
