City of Toccoa requesting architectural and engineering proposals for Tugalo Street Green Space project

The City of Toccoa is looking for proposals from qualified architectural firms interested in providing architectural and engineering services for the design of the Tugalo Street Green space, to be located on the existing city owned Tugalo Street Parking Lot.

Main Street Manager Christian Hamilton says conceptual design renderings have been solicited and completed, and the selected proposer will utilize these renderings to draft engineered drawings to be utilized for construction and completion.

He says this is phase one of a two-phase project.

Once construction drawings are completed, a separate RFP will be solicited for general contracting services.

He says this project is made possible through grant funding from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.

As WNEG News previously reported, the Toccoa City Commission approved a grant resolution in May to secure funding for this project.

At that meeting, City Manager Billy Morse explained that the grant would go towards the creation of a green space.

Morse added that this project was one of the goals the city had made for 2022.

Hamilton adds that a performance bond and payment bond may be required by the successful proposer according to state procurement standards.

The request for proposals may be located online at cityoftoccoa.com/planning or by contacting Hamilton at [email protected].

The city requests that any questions regarding this RFP be submitted according to the format delineated in the RFP.

All proposals must be received no later than Friday, September 30, 2022 at 12 p.m.
