Christine Chesser-Moir

Christine Chesser-Moir went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the age of 82.

Christine was born on January 22, 1941 in Battle Creek, MI to the late Harry and E. Mae Dale, where she grew up and after graduating high school, moved to Florida where she lived most of her life before moving to Washington and Arizona and later retiring in Toccoa.

Christine was passionate about the Lord and helping others. She believed that if the church doors were open, we should be there to learn, grow, and serve. She enjoyed many hobbies, but loved to knit and crochet, go to the senior center, college football, and have adventures with her friends and family. She enjoyed gospel singing and concerts. Her greatest joy was spending time with others and passing along the sunshine of a smile. Christine was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.  Her favorite chapter in the Bible was Psalms 23 as well as Genesis 31:49, “May the Lord watch between you and me when we are absent from one another.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and E. Mae Dale, brother, Christ Dale, sister, Mary Miller, first husband, Jesse Leon Chesser who passed away in 1999 and her second husband, Richard Moir who passed away in 2016.

Survivors include her children, Deborah and Ron Boutin, Jesse “Luke” Chesser, Christy and Keith

Stille, Tina Moir, and Tami and Gary Marsh; sister, Janet Martin; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; many loving family and friends.
