CatSnip partners with TSCHS for feline spay/neuter clinic tomorrow

Local cat owners will have an opportunity tomorrow, Nov. 18, to save time and money on important healthcare for their pet, thanks to a partnership between the Toccoa /Stephens County Humane Shelter, and Project Cat Snip.

At a clinic to be held at the shelter, 1747 Scenic Drive in Toccoa, pet owners can arrange for a variety of services, including spaying for $80, neutering for $60, rabies vaccinations for $20-$26, Distemper vaccines for $25, leukemia vaccine for $25, microchipping for $40, and Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLV) testing for $40.  Take-home pain medications will be available for $18 and a variety of flea treatment options will be available.

Appointments are required, and can be made by calling (770) 455-7077 or by registering online at www.projectcatsnip.com. All cats must be in cat-specific carriers – cardboard carriers will be available for $7. Feral and community cats are welcome. Check-ins will begin at 7 a.m. and pick-up times will be available during registration. 

Also, the Toccoa/Stephens County Humane Shelter’s Holiday Yard Sale will continue today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and conclude tomorrow, with the sale running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will be located at 176 N. Pond Street in downtown Toccoa, and proceeds from the sale will go toward the services provided by the Toccoa Stephens County Humane Shelter and to care for the animals in their care until adopted.
