Cases of COVID-19 continue to decrease in Stephens County

The spread of COVID-19 continues to slow in Stephens County.

According to the Department of Public Health, there have been 4,541 total cases of COVID-19 in Stephens County, since the start of the pandemic, an increase of 11 since WNEG’s report last week.

The DPH is reporting 106 confirmed COVID-related deaths in Stephens County, an increase of 2 since WNEG’s report last Wednesday.

In the last two weeks, ending November 9, the DPH reports a total of 52 new cases in Stephens County.

For surrounding counties, Habersham County has 50 new cases in the last 2 weeks, Rabun County has 54, Banks County has 27, Franklin County 14, and Hart County has 17 new cases.

In Georgia, the DPH is reporting 1,270,625 total cases, an increase of 4,409 since WNEG’s report last week. The DPH also reports an increase of 268 deaths since WNEG’s report last Wednesday, bringing the total to 25,189 confirmed COVID-related deaths across the state of Georgia.
