As classes get underway for a new school year, Campfire Toccoa is scheduling their annual Back to School Summer Splash.

This year’s Back to School Summer Splash takes place Saturday, August 11th from 11a to 1p at the Doyle St. Community Pool.

Executive Director Elaine Brinkley says it’s a fun time for kids and parents.

“This is our fourth year of doing it,” she said. “And we just want kids to celebrate going back to school. They get lunch, like pizza, chicken tenders and lots of desserts. And then, everybody gets a bag of school supplies as long as they last.”

Other activities include swimming, games, raffles for school supplies, and the Chick-Fil-A Chicken will also be there to hand out school supplies as well.

As you heard, this is the fourth year, Campfire Toccoa has put on the Back to School Splash and Brinkley said there’s always a good response.

“Yes, we always have a crowdful. There will be families lined up and waiting for us to open the doors. And the families are allowed to stay all day at the pool if they want to,” she said.

Again, the Back to School Summer Splash happens Saturday, August 11th at the Doyle St. Community Pool from 11a to 1p.

Admission is $3 for adults, but children will be admitted free.
