Officers with the Toccoa Police Department and Agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced on Friday that they had arrested two suspects in connection with the Aug. 8, fatal shooting of Joel Keshon Green, 18, of Toccoa.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, Ty’Jal Trammell, 23, of Toccoa, has been arrested and charged with giving false information and will also face a murder charge.

She is being held in the Stephens County Jail awaiting a first appearance hearing and a bond hearing.

Kentavius B. Walker, 21, of Toccoa, was also arrested.
He has been charged with the murder of Green.

Green was at the corner of Franklin Street and South Alexander Street speaking with a female in a vehicle when he was shot once in the head.

Officers and investigators responded to South Alexander Street, directly behind the Toccoa Pawn Shop, where they taped off the area and spoke with possible witnesses and family members.

Police and EMS performed CPR on Green and then rushed him to Stephens County Hospital where Mize said he was pronounced dead.

Throughout the night, Investigators and Agents received information from friends and family of the victim.

Mize told WNEG News today that Walker had turned himself in on a charge of aggravated assault from the Prather Bridge Road shooting that took place July 26.

Walker is being held in the Stephens County Jail awaiting a first appearance hearing and a bond hearing.
