BREAKING NEWS…Toccoa Bank Robbed
Law enforcement officials are reporting that the Northeast Georgia Bank on Big A Road in Toccoa was robbed late this morning.
According to officials, the suspect entered the bank at approximately 11:45-11:50 A.M. and slid a note to the cashier with instructions. The suspect then took the money and fled on foot.
The City of Toccoa Police Department and Stephens County Sheriff’s Department are combing the area, and looking at available video footage.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is on the scene and the FBI is on the way.
There are no reported injuries.
Toccoa Police are searching for a white male, 5’9″, heavy, full beard, wearing sunglasses, gray “Columbia” t-shirt, and a gray and white hat. Last seen on foot in the area of NEGA Bank on Stephens Circle.
