Beverly Ann Miller

Beverly Ann Miller, beloved mother, grandmother, and veteran teacher and swim coach, lost her battle with vascular dementia on September 29, 2022 at the age of 74.

Born to John and Catherine Addington of Toccoa, Georgia, Beverly attended North Georgia Junior College and the University of Georgia, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in early education.   She married Kenneth Albert Miller, Jr, on December 17, 1972.  She raised two daughters, Missy and Angie, until returning to the classroom to teach. Beverly taught kindergarten for 27 years, and made many connections which led to her career as a cherished swim instructor and swim team coach.  Upon retirement from teaching, Beverly focused on spending time with her grandchildren, friends and neighbors.

She is predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Addington and her husband, Kenneth Albert Miller, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Stan Addington and wife Marlene; sister, Barbara Rogers; daughter Missy Vigue and son-in-law Duane Vigue; daughter, Angie Wallace and son-in-law Taylor Wallace; grandchildren Brody and Logan Vigue, Claire and Gabby St. Jean, and Wesley Wallace.

Visitation will take place on October 1st from 6-8pm, and a memorial service will be held on October 2nd  at 12pm at Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock.

Following the service, a graveside service will be held at Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa, GA at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, in honor of Beverly Miller to contribute to research and ultimate cure for Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Lakeside Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
