Back to Back Days with no Covid-Related Deaths in 6 County Area

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 70 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,846 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Wednesday afternoon and for the second straight day had no additional deaths in the area, but 41 additional total positive cases in the six county area of: Stephens, Habersham, Hart, Franklin, Rabun, and Banks.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 136 deaths and now 4,533 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Hart County is still reporting 35 deaths and now 1,634 cases, Franklin County still has  36 deaths and 2,258 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,424 cases and still 36 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 30 deaths and now 1,536 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health the number of positive cases across the state have stayed lower than the norm with just over 2,000 cases reported, for a total now of 810,473 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those 227 more were hospitalized for a total now of 55,394 that have been hospitalized, and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen by 121 to 14,882.
