Armed burglar remains at-large

For over two weeks, the Toccoa Police Department continues its search for the suspect responsible for an armed robbery and home invasion that occurred at a residence on Collins Road.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on February 7, officers were dispatched to 532 Collins Road in reference to a robbery.

The homeowner was in his dining room when a black male wearing a black mask, black hoodie, jeans and black gloves fired a shot through his living room wall.

After firing into the residence, the masked man entered the home and placed a gun on the homeowner’s face, demanding money.

He then walked all through the house looking for items, before taking $300 in cash from the homeowner’s wheelchair bag.

Mize says the homeowner is confined to a wheelchair, and before the suspect fled the scene he knocked the wheelchair over.

The Toccoa Police Department have released photos of the suspect for the public to assist in identifying the armed man.
