Area School Systems and Businesses Closed Thursday Due to Weather

Due to the Tropical Storm Warning for our area associated with Hurricane Zeta and expected heavy winds and rain, area school systems will be closed on Thursday:

-Stephens County School Superintendent Daniel Oldham has canceled schools for Thursday, and asks that everyone remain home and stay safe.

-Habersham County Schools are closed and encourages all to exercise extreme caution if traveling Thursday morning.

-Franklin County Schools will hold an E-Learning Day on Thursday. No students or staff are to report to campus.

-North Georgia Technical College-All campuses closed on Thursday.

-Stephens County Government will operate on a two-hour delay.

-The Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library will open at 12 noon today.

-All NGPG locations including The Toccoa Clinic will be open today at 10 a.m.

-Precious Minutes Learning Center is closed today.

-Today’s Toccoa City Court has been rescheduled for next week. If you were suppose to appear in City Court today, you will now report next week.

-First Franklin Investment Center has delayed opening until 10 a.m.

-Stephens County Eye Clinic and Franklin County Eye Care will open at noon.

-The Wright Credit Union will open at 10 a.m.

-Oconee Federal Savings and Loan delaying opening the drive-thru at both locations until 10 A.M.

-Jerry White’s Pharmacy will open later due to power outages.

-North Georgia Credit Union-delay opening at all offices until at least 10 A.M. Will reassess later this morning.

-Northeast Georgia Bank will delay opening until 12 noon.

-The Salvation Army Family Store on Big A Road will open at 12 noon if power is restored, and the Service Center on Franklin Street will be closed.
