Annual Red Rage Pep Rally is tonight in Stephens County

It’s time for the Annual Red Rage Pep Rally which ushers in another Stephens County Indians Football Season.

It will be held tonight at the Stephens County High School Football Field beginning at 7 o’clock.

The Indian cheerleaders, football players, marching band and auxiliary will be introduced, as well as others, according to Stephens County Football Cheerleading Coach Whitney Roberson.

“The Red Rage is our community pep rally that we have been doing for many years,” she said. “So, it’s a kickoff to our football season as well as our fall sports that we have going on at the high school.”

Last year, the pre-season gathering was held on a Saturday, but this season it will be held tonight, similar to a regular Football Friday night.

“There’s actually a time change, last year we had Red Rage on a Saturday, but this year its’ on Friday and will be at 7 p.m. at the Reservation,” Roberson said. “We hope that it’s a little bit cooler for us, and it also gives us a Friday night football feel since it’ll start at 7 o’clock.”

After the Red Rage Pep Rally, the Indians football team will have an inter-squad scrimmage.  Admission is free.

The Stephens County Indians football team will have a pre-season scrimmage game Thursday, August 15th, when they host White County at 7:30.

The Indians will open up the season at home against the Franklin County Lions on Friday, August 23rd, with kickoff at 7:30.
