Anne Wilson Watson

Anne Watson, of Gainesville, GA (formerly of Martin, GA), departed this earth to be with her Lord on February 24, 2023.

Anne was born in Summerville, SC on October 24, 1941, to James H. and Bertha Wilson.

Anne was mother to Laurie, Cindy, and Michael Robertson.  She raised her children in love and devotion with her husband, Neal Watson.

As a registered nurse, Anne was known for her compassionate care and servant leadership, especially in her volunteer work with the Open Arms Clinic.  She was dedicated to her Christian faith, leading many ladies Bible studies; we are confident that her prayers went straight to the Lord’s ear. She learned to paint later in life creating many lasting monuments to her craft. She loved to shop and could outlast us all on any shopping trip.  Her talents and hobbies were too numerous to list, but she brought warmth, a quick wit and energy to each one.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Wilson and Bertha Wilson; her sister, Eleanor Smith; and niece, Kathryn Smith.

She is survived by daughters, Laurie Potter (husband Terry), and Cindy Bertin (partner Stan Bobo); a son, Michael Robertson (wife Anna); grandchildren Hannah (Harrison) Leon-Gay, Abigail Potter, Maggie Potter, Wilson Bertin, Christopher Bertin, Carter Bertin, Addison Robertson and Zion Robertson; nieces Lynda Smith and Diane Gilmore; and many, many friends.  Most importantly she is survived by her loving husband, Neal C. Watson, who loved her with all his heart and soul.

A memorial will be held at a later date in Gainesville, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

The world is a little dimmer for us, but heaven has gained a shining star.
